Policy for Private Classes, Group Sessions, Online Bookings, and Venue

Rental

 

Online Bookings

Booking directly from website widgets is based on availability of time slots. Payment will be made in full upon booking. Deposits are non-refundable if attendee is a NO SHOW.

 

Venue Rental

Venue rental is available upon request for birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, corporate meetings, etc. A non refundable deposit of $100 is required to confirm reservation. Rental rates for groups that require more than a 2 hour time slot are billed at 225.00 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. This fee does is not inclusive of the non-refundable deposit. A separate agreement for venue rental is required upon booking. If participants want to add an activity to the event, the activity is billed at a separate rate and can be paid individually. 1. Private Classes – Individual Sessions

1. All Individual classes require payment in full at the time of booking. This payment covers general supplies and basic project supplies for all introductory-level classes.

2. Instructors will have additional materials available for purchase before class begins.

3. If a participant needs to reschedule, they must notify the instructor no later than 3 days before the scheduled class.

4. If a participant fails to give notice as stated above, payment will not be reimbursed.

 

2. Private Classes - Group Sessions (parties of 3 or more)

1. Registration:

   1. The organizer for the group must provide the names and contact details for all participants at the time of booking.

   2. A deposit of $100.00 is required at the time of booking. 

      1. The deposit will be refunded unless the Instructor has determined that the group (individually and/or collectively) has failed to comply with the Terms as outlined in section 2.B.

      2. Refunds will be credited back to the original form of payment no later than 48 hours after the conclusion of the Group Session.

      3. The group may be asked to provide a credit card to cover Incidentals.

   3. Payment for the Group session must be made in full within 72 hours of booking.

      1. Participants will be billed individually or collectively.

      2. The billing method must be decided at the time of booking.

1. Participants should arrive on time or before. 

   1. Latecomers may miss out on instructions, which could increase the amount of time needed to complete the session.

2. Sessions are booked in either 2 or 3-hour increments.

   1. $75 per hour will be charged for exceeding the allotted time. 

      1. This fee will not be prorated.

      2. This fee will be deducted from the deposit, unless there are insufficient funds remaining, in which case the credit card on file will be charged.

1. Housekeeping:

   1. Food and Beverages are allowed. All persons who enter our facilities must adhere to the following rules – without exception:

      1. ANY ITEMS THAT COULD ATTRACT CRITTERS MUST BE THROWN IN THE CITY TRASH CAN, LOCATED OUTSIDE NEXT TO THE STREET.

      2. Open food and beverages may be placed on top of the Flat File Cabinet.

      3. Be mindful of where you eat and drink.

         1. Damage to equipment, artwork, and/or personal belongings can happen quickly!

         2. Respect your fellow classmates.

         3. Don’t “camp out” on tabletops, workbenches, and floors.

         4. Clean up crumbs, spills, debris, etc.

      4. Our facility provides filtered Hot and Cold water, cups, and a small refrigerator/freezer.

      5. We do not have a microwave, stove, or hotplate. Please plan accordingly.

      6. Anything brought in must be taken out and put in the city trash can before leaving.

         1. fridge, freezer, countertops, flat file, workstations.

      7. Anything left at the end of the day will be discarded or donated.

   2. Materials:

      1. The Lark’s Nest assumes no liability for damages or harm to anything or anyone incurred: on the premises or parking lot, participating in sponsored events/activities, traveling to or from an event/activity, transporting individuals or students for any reason and in any vehicle, using our facilities or equipment, taking classes with our instructors, storing, or transporting items or artwork, without exception.

      2. Participants who choose to bring personal items or materials into our facilities are responsible for removing them after class. 

      3. Instructors may grant students approval to temporarily leave their projects, materials, or tools in a designated spot.

      4. Participants are required to clean up their workspace. 

         1. Clean/wipe down tools and put them back where they belong.

         2. Return excess materials to the Instructor.

         3. Put reference books, materials, anything borrowed from the facility back where it belongs.

         4. Clean/wipe down work surface. Remove glue, paint, tape, and anything that could become permanent BEFORE it dries.

         5. Sweep around your workstation and put trash in the wastebin.

         6. Tuck chairs under tables, so others do not trip.

         7. Take your projects with you.

      5. At the end of each day, any personal items, materials or projects left (without prior permission) will be discarded or donated. Participants must immediately contact their instructor if they leave something important.

 

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ONE OR MORE OF OUR RULES MAY RESULT IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING MEASURES:

We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
